Performance #9

Girl in Suitcase

24 March 2015

At The Telegraph at the Earl of Derby, London for Telegraph Hill Festival 2015.

This version of ‘Girl in Suitcase’ was a journey into the deep feminine, to visit goddesses and foremothers of ancient times, taking in their presence. The audience was invited to look at them and draw, share in the blood ritual, be moved by Isis, hunted by Artemis, and join Kali in an incantation of survival.

The play was written, created and performed by Esther Bunting, Sabine Zöllner and Ursula Troche, with the help of Judit Prieto, Aaron England and David Alexander Murphy. Written and created also by Sylvie Rouhani. Music ranged from the other-worldly to banging techno.

It was staged at The Telegraph at the Earl of Derby as part of the 2015 Telegraph Hill Festival.

You can read more about the creation and performance of this play in my 2015 blog, ‘Returning to a One Woman show‘.
